The Future of Business Intelligence

We are very pleased to be able to provide this update regarding the Financial, Commercial and R&D performance of The Data City.

The headline news is that we have successfully transitioned our UK data products, data infrastructure and machine learning frameworks to a globally scalable, data as a service product with AI powered data infrastructure.

We are building global data infrastructure for the future of business intelligence and are starting the process of identifying investment partners to support our global expansion in 2027/28.

Our new AI native data products are available for the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, and the USA. The products are built so that we can scale globally as we follow market demand.

This global product development has been made possible with the support from our investment partner Oxford Economics (OE)

The delivery of v1 of our Global Product means that we can push forward and accelerate our global expansion. Our initial focus is the USA where we will springboard from OE’s existing physical infrastructure and customer network, using our US Joint Venture company.

We will be supporting our European customers from our UK operations in Leeds and London.

In terms of our financial & commercial performance the business is on target to reach >$3M in annual sales for this FY, has >$2M ARR and has grown by 25% in its core market of the UK public sector. We are maintaining a disciplined cost base and are generating growing, predictable recurring revenues. Combined with significant vertical and territorial opportunities and strong market interest, this gives us a strategic foundation from which to scale.

We have paying customers in the UK, Ireland & Germany and pre-launch enquiries from the USA. We have established new markets in Defence, Real Estate, Higher Education and Financial Services which we expect to grow significantly in FY 26/27.  We also know that as we grow, new and exciting use cases from different market segments and territories will emerge, we will stay opportunistic and entrepreneurial to take advantage of these opportunities.  The current level of opportunity and pipeline of sales is the highest we have experienced.

The advent of frontier AI models brings risks and opportunities for all companies, as a data provider with clear IP, and knowhow moats we are seeing early signs that we are in the opportunity side of this equation. Our data is becoming even more valuable to customers as they build their own AI powered insight tools that require high quality, maintained and auditable business intelligence data infrastructure.

The work we have completed in 2025 and 2026 means that we are able to clearly understand our markets, the technical challenges and the R&D and capital requirements to accelerate the growth of The Data City into a truly global, AI & Data Infrastructure company.

We are “The Future of Business Intelligence” and have started the process of selecting investment partners to support our growth ambitions.  If you’re interested, contact us at [email protected] and we can share our investment ambitions with you, where we expect to put capital to work in early 2027.
