We’re thrilled by the success of our first-ever Data City Summit, which brought together over 90 attendees for a packed afternoon of insights, discussions, and networking. It was inspiring to see so many from our community come together, exchanging ideas and sharing the innovative work happening across the tech, data, and industry landscapes.
Highlights from the event
The Summit featured a lineup of remarkable speakers from organisations like Dealroom, EY, Centre for Cities, The Lifted Project, Lightcast, HVMC, The Northern Powerhouse Partnership, and Midlands Engine. Each presentation delved into how data is shaping industries, powering decision-making, and creating a meaningful impact.
The sessions spotlighted advancements in tech, data analytics, and policy, including the real-world applications of our data and tools. It was particularly rewarding to see discussions around the ways data can be harnessed to drive regional and national growth.
We were excited to reveal our latest product, Real-Time SIC Codes (RSICs), which offers a smarter way to classify companies, using AI to update SIC codes with real-time data, ensuring more accurate business insights and more efficient operations.
Industrial Strategy Green Paper
A central theme in some of the talks was the government’s new industrial strategy green paper, which proposes a unified evidence base for the eight growth sectors across national and local levels. We encourage everyone to read it and contribute feedback to help shape future policy.
