Based in Leeds we operate across the UK, working with a wide range of national and local government organisations and private companies. Our next stage of growth involves the development of a global product.

The opportunity:

Reporting to our Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for delivering the marketing strategy through our core channels and suppliers. You will take responsibility for the activation of several key campaigns across a range of markets (including both public and private sector), and help feed into the company’s wider, long-term plans.

This role will initially focus on driving our content marketing, social media, events, email marketing and PR activities, but will grow to include other elements such as paid media, lead generation, CRM management, website management, strategy and more.

About you:

We are looking for an experienced marketer, with a good understanding of marketing principles and a drive to learn more. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with a hands-on approach to marketing and delivering projects at pace. A curious mind is a must.

You’ll be happy working within a small, integrated team and will be given autonomy to develop your own ideas and to drive the best results possible- seeing your own projects through from planning to reporting.

You’ll form part of a growing scale-up, working closely with a wide range of team members, from the Marketing Manager and sales team to our data analysts and company founders.

Experience:

Diverse experience is essential to this role, so we don’t have a ‘tick box’ of requirements, but are looking for someone who probably has;

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a marketing role.
  • Social media and content writing experience a must.
  • Well-rounded knowledge of digital marketing practices and channels.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
  • Experience with social media channels and scheduling tools.
  • Working experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console and other analytical tools.
  • Understanding of core content marketing principles, social media management, SEO practices, PR fundamentals and event marketing.
  • Experience with Photoshop, Canva and other design tools.
  • Familiar with HubSpot or other CRM systems.
  • Familiar with WordPress or other CMS platforms.
  • B2B and SaaS marketing experience a plus.

The job:

As Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting lead generation and business development at The Data City.

This role will require managing multiple projects and working closely with the wider team to drive results, and deliver projects that align with our business plan.

Because of this we’re looking for someone who is a strong communicator and proactive in the way they work, anticipating the needs of the company and bringing new ideas to the table to streamline processes and driving results.

The role includes the following, but there will always be new and ad hoc requirements:

  • Planning, writing and scheduling social media content across channels.
  • Managing content calendar and steady flow of high-quality content on blog.
  • Responsible for briefing and editing team blog content and publishing through CMS.
  • Planning, progressing and managing TDC events, including webinars, talks, exhibitions and more.
  • Setting up regular sessions to develop content strategy and content ideas with the team.
  • Managing 3rd party suppliers and relationships with agencies and freelancers
  • Reporting on progress of key projects and performance in line with KPIs.
  • Managing monthly newsletters and developing additional email marketing campaigns.
  • Completing regular market research reports and updating personas.
  • Filming internal video content and editing into for social media.
  • Completing research and competitor analysis.
  • Working closely with clients and partners to develop case studies and testimonials.
  • Working directly with product and data teams to discuss release notes, new features and longer-term product roadmap.
