The opportunity:

We’re looking for someone who’s smart, well-organised, and proactive to join our growing sales and marketing team. Someone who can support our end-to-end sales process and start closing deals fast.

Reporting to our Customer Success Director, you’ll be handling inbound leads and external outreach, running demos of our ground-breaking SaaS platform, managing renewals and converting prospects into long-term customers. You’ll also play a key role in feeding into our sales workflows, automation, and processes as we scale.

We are disrupting the way that decisions are made about economic policy and investments, by using real-time data .  

Based in Leeds, we work across the UK with a wide range of national and local government organisations and private companies.  

Our growth into 2025 will include the development of the next version of our global product.  

About you:

You’re a confident, self-sufficient salesperson with experience in sales or account management. You don’t need hand-holding – you’re comfortable with outbound sales, product demos, managing prospects, and closing deals.

But you’re not just about hitting targets. You’re also strategic, looking for ways to improve sales workflows, automation, and customer success processes as the business grows.

You know how to move deals forward, spot upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and make sure clients get real value from the platform. Over time, you’ll play a key role in shaping how we scale our sales and customer success functions.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Client enquiry handling (new and existing) – manage prospects from ‘interested’ through to purchase, your focus is great services- whilst closing the deal and spotting opportunities for further growth/ upsell.
    • Platform demos
    • Proposals
    • Contracts
    • Opportunity admin / chasing
    • Streamline the process of converting, upselling and maintenance of customers
  • Customer service
    • Client on-boarding and training
    • Coordination of client work into the team
    • Customer service (reactive and pro-active)
    • Cross-sell, upsell, renewals
  • Product & Process development
    • Capturing client use insights and feature requests
    • Exploring new markets and refining client delivery processes
    • Automating any process where-ever possible
  • Team
    • Starting out doing everything but growing with the business to recruit capacity into these tasks to enable growth.

Skills and personal qualities:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a sales or customer service role.
  • Confident outbound sales skills – you’re comfortable reaching out, following up, and driving conversations with prospects and customers.
  • CRM expertise – ideally HubSpot, with experience managing pipelines, integrations, and automations.
  • Strong sales knowledge – from strategy and product demos to reporting and forecasting.
  • Ability to sell SaaS products – or experience demonstrating and selling similar solutions.
  • Excellent networking skills – building strong relationships with prospects and existing clients.
  • Top-tier communication and presentation skills – whether it’s over a call, in a demo, or face-to-face.

  • This role is based in Leeds, it’s a collaborative role, therefore a minimum of 3 days per week in-person at our offices, working face to face with your colleagues.
