Danielle Bullamore R&D Data Scientist

Danielle joined The Data City as part of our Fellowship programme. Danielle now works for us full-time as a Research and Development Data Scientist

Danielle’s background is in Chemical Engineering and after finishing her degree at the University of Cambridge, she started a career in research. Danielle recently finished a PhD in Fluid Dynamics at the University of Leeds. During her years in academia, she learnt to solve problems with scientific computing alongside mathematical methods.

As a Research and Development Data Scientist, Danielle develops new methods and features for The Data City products. Outside of work, she is involved in maths communication and outreach.

Dr Fatima Garcia R&D Analyst

Fatima’s background is in geography and the environment, after finishing her degree in Spain, Fatima decided to start a career in research in the UK. Fatima has a PhD in social and political sciences from Nottingham Trent University.

In The Data City she is designing and producing datasets to answer complex questions, analysing datasets and sharing interesting findings on our portal. A core member of the team Fatima has the ability to ask the right questions to understand complex problems and create simple, data based, solutions.

Ming Huang Developer

Ming has been working in IT for over 20 years. He is a hands-on Developer with years of software architect background, specialising in AI integration solutions. His experience spans frontend and backend architectural design for complex systems, data design, performance optimisation, and RAG and MCP AI solutions.

At his previous company, Ming served as the principal implementation authority, architecting and implementing approximately 60% of the data visualisation platform codebase with multi-tenanted, multi-level security permissions control.
He established both frontend and backend architecture whilst maintaining and advocating good code quality.

Ming implemented an AI search engine with RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation), and pioneered MCP Server implementation, developing the PI API MCP Server on the same day he first learnt about the concept.

Ming focuses on developing AI integration solutions including smart AI search, enhanced data graph search, improved data classification accuracy, and automated data extraction. Additionally, he will be working with people across different teams to identify better ways to optimise our operations.
